I’m delighted you have clicked on the Hillside Shepherd Ministry website. You will find information about the ministry and our activities, as well as how you can participate as you read on. I look forward to meeting you in person.
My understanding from the Lord is that His sheep are everywhere and so are the hills.
The sheep I am called to are those who don’t have a shepherd, Those, who for whatever reason, do not attend a church where they receive teaching, pastoral care or participate in fellowship.
Hebrews 10: 25 (ESV) not neglecting to meet together as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
If fellowship with like-minded Christians, or possibly some pastoral care, is what you are looking for, or would like to be part of, then Hillside Shepherd Ministry might be just the place for you.
My name is Sally Davis. I am an ordained minister in the Full Gospel Church of Australia and operate according to the Doctrines and Regulations of Full Gospel Australia.
Full Gospel is a group of Pentecostal churches with churches throughout Australia.
I have a heart for Pastoral Care and can’t wait to listen to your stories. I will consider it an honour to pray for and with you when and if you would like prayer.
Formally established in May 2025, Hillside Shepherd Ministry grew out of a word given to me, Sally Davis, by the Lord in 2020.
I had just left a church after 30 years, approximately 20 of which I had been in some kind of ministry. I thought I would always remain in that church, so after leaving I went through quite a long period of grief and loss.
I asked the Lord if He still had a future for me and He told me that He wanted me to be a shepherd for the sheep on the hills. I thought that was lovely, but then I wondered just how he would bring that from lovely words to reality!
In my position of grief and loss, I could not see myself going forward at all. This all happened during the Covid restrictions, and it was some months before I found a church to attend.
Once the Covid restrictions lifted a little and people could gather more easily, I helped a friend restart her ministry. I supported her actively for almost four years.
Towards the end of this time, the Lord was speaking to me about withdrawing from her ministry because I wasn’t doing what I was supposed to be doing. He had given me a ministry. Why wasn’t I proceeding with that?
In addition to that, my husband and I had taken on the care of a teenager who was intellectually impaired and came from a background of neglect and abuse. This placement broke down just after school resumed for 2025.
All of that meant I was now free to take up the mantle the Lord had given me, of Shepherd to the Sheep on the Hills.
Meet Ups will be held in parks around the Springfield area to begin with. We will meet fortnightly on Sunday afternoons at 2pm. Dates and locations will be publicized through our Facebook Page and on Instagram. Alternatively, you can contact us by phone or email.
